8 People die in a tornado in Oklahoma. In a related story, water is wet and lead is heavy. Sure, it’s a shame that people died… but is it really news? A tornado in Oklahoma? C’mon… y’gotta try harder than that.
An inconclusive vote in Israel puts MidEast peace on hold. Of course, what you never hear in the US news media is that the mere existence of Israel doesn’t bode well for MidEast peace. That’s not to say that the Sunnis and the Shia and the Jews and the Christians wouldn’t be fighting if Israel was Palestine…. and again… not really news.
The American Society for Reproductive Medicine is investigating the fertility clinic responsible for the Suleman Octuplets. Right on time. Suleman claimed to have been implanted with 6 embryos for the octuplet birth. Hmmm… Are there 2 pairs of twins in there somewhere? …or did the fertility clinic screw up? … like by impregnating her a third time (to say nothing of the fourth, fift or sixth times).
In an NBC “Dateline” interview that aired Tuesday night, Suleman said the octuplets were a sign from God that she should stop having children. She also said she still intends to go back to school and finish her master’s degree.
There’s so much wrong with that, i don’t even know where to begin. … and then there’s THIS:

This multiply-cited article lists her as Arabic and Lithuanian… obviously different folks with different ethnic backgrounds present variations on the themes of their races… but… there’s a certain … LaToya Jackson vibe going on there.
