Dummyhead: Temecula's Biggest One Man Band
UrsusPacificus.net is a domain name owned by Paul Tourville (That's me). "Ursus Pacificus", for the uninitiated, is latin for "Peaceful Bear(male)" (more precisely, from what I've read, it means "Bear(male) that tends toward peace or passivity".). It has nothing to do with the large body of water that borders the West Coast of the United States. The Pacific Ocean was so named because is is peaceful (most of the time, and where the Spanish explorers who first saw it saw it). One thing I enjoy doing is writing. I write comedy sketches and bogus commercials and songs. Recently, I began writing more serious material that hits a little closer to home. I wanted to make my newer material available, but it just didn't fit in the context of the rest of my body of work. I decided to set up a website that focused on my new direction, with the rest of my biographical, philosophical and creative doodoo in the back somewhere. Unfortunately, it seems I did too good of a job burying the rest of my stuff... people could only find www.ursuspacificus.net/index.shtml (the page your're now reading) and www.ursuspacificus.net/writings.html, which contains my more recent "serious" musings.
